Aamir Khan jets off to Turkey for Laal Singh Chaddha

Bollywood star Aamir Khan is back to work and was spotted shooting for his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha in Turkey. The film was initially being shot in India but had to be stalled due to novel Coronavirus. Pictures of Aamir shooting for his film in Turkey have gone viral on social media.

Since shooting would have been difficult amidst nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19, Aamir decided to shift his film to Turkey. Before the Coronavirus pandemic, the actor was seen shooting for the film in Kolkata and Chandigarh. The film is resuming shoot after five long months.

The actor is already present at the new location and the internet is flooded with his photographs. Laal Singh Chaddha also stars actress Kareena Kapoor Khan in a lead role but she is yet to join the production team in Turkey.

Laal Singh Chaddha is the official Hindi remake of Robert Zemeckis directed 1994 classic The Forrest Gump. Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist will be reprising the titular role originally played by Tom Hanks. Aamir had announced the film last year.

In a media interaction he had gushed, “I have always loved Forrest Gump as a script. It is a wonderful story about this character. It is a life-affirming story. It is a feel-good film. It is a film for the whole family. It’s a wonderful film so I really like it.”

The Hindi remake will be directed by Advait Chandan and co-produced by Aamir’s production house along with Viacom8 Motion Pictures. The film was set to release on Christmas this year but due to the change in circumstances, it has been pushed to next year. Apart from Aamir, Akshay Kumar along with the team of his upcoming film Bell Bottom has jetted off to UK.
