John Wick: Under the High Table series in development

Lionsgate Television has officially announced the development of a sequel series to the acclaimed John Wick franchise, titled John Wick: Under the High Table. This new series will pick up immediately after the events of John Wick: Chapter 4, continuing the intricate narrative that has captivated audiences since the franchise’s inception in 2014.

The series is set to explore the complex world of the High Table, a central element of the John Wick universe. While Keanu Reeves, who plays the titular character, will not reprise his acting role, he will serve as an executive producer alongside director Chad Stahelski. Stahelski is also set to direct the pilot episode, ensuring that the series maintains the high production quality associated with the films. Robert Levine will take on the roles of writer and showrunner for the series.

Under the High Table is expected to blend familiar characters from the films with new faces, reflecting the ongoing evolution of the John Wick lore. The series aims to delve deeper into the aftermath of the events of Chapter 4, where the High Table’s power dynamics are left in a precarious state. As new characters emerge, they will seek to establish their influence within this dangerous world, while some returning characters will strive to uphold the old order.

This project is part of a broader expansion of the John Wick universe, which includes the previously released The Continental series and the upcoming Ballerina film. With John Wick: Chapter 5 also in the pipeline, the franchise is poised for continued growth across both television and film platforms.
