Popular television show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame actor Karan Mehra was arrested by Mumbai Police after wife -actress Nisha Rawal filed a complaint against him in Goregaon, Mumbai. Shortly after, he was out on bail. The actor’s wife Nisha has filed a complaint of domestic violence against Karan.
Karan spoke with India Today about the whole incident, He said, “(Last night) I was talking to my mother over the phone when Nisha barged in and started hurling abuses at me, my parents, and my brother. She started shouting loudly and not only that Nisha even spat on me. When I asked Nisha to go out, she threatened me by saying ‘see what I do now’ and went out. She then smashed her head on the wall, and told everyone that I did it.”

On the basis of the statement given by actor’s wife, the police have registered a case under section 336,337,332,504,506 of the IPC and has started further investigation. Reportedly, the actor will be produced before a magistrate court.
There were rumours of a dispute between the two for more than a month. However, Karan denied these rumours in an interview given to Aaj Tak last month. He said, “I have no clue what led to these rumours all of a sudden. I saw this news today only and I have been getting calls from everywhere. When Nisha got the news, she had also cleared it. Even after that, I don’t know how these rumours started spreading.”
Karan Mehra came to the limelight with one of the longest-running Indian television serial Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai that aired on Star Plus and become one of the highest-paid actor in the TV industry. He was also a contestant on Bigg Boss 10. He featured in the Jubin Nautiyal and Rochak Kohli song “Bewafa Tera Masoom Chehra”
On the other hand, Nisha Rawal is a famous TV actor and model. She has appeared in many TV commercials and few Bollywood movies.
The couple was seen together in Indian celebrity dance reality television series that aired on Star Plus- Nach Baliye Season 5.
