After delving into the Indian ‘arranged marriage’ setup in Matchmaking, Netflix is now set to explore the multibillion-dollar Indian wedding industry. The Big Day will supposedly give audiences a chance to witness some of the most unique and lavish Indian modern weddings.
The trailer for The Big Day was released on Monday and featured some dream-like wedding pictures with exotic settings, designer clothes and unique themes.
The makers have chosen six different stories and will showcase the couples talking about their ‘happily ever after’ expectations.
The series contain planning a sustainable wedding along with scenes of couples steering their way through a list of wedding shenanigans and some perturbing situations that are an inseparable part of the big fat Indian weddings.
The series is scheduled to premiere on February 14, 2021 on Netflix and includes some famous celebrity weddings like make up artist Daniel Baeur getting married to partner Tyrone Braganza in 2019.
