Indian Idol is singing reality show that has aired on Sony Entertainment Television since 2004. The show has been in controversy for many days. Recently, Kishore Kumar’s son Singer Amit Kumar was special guest of episode in which all the contestants gave a tribute to beloved Kishore Da. Amit Kumar claimed that he was asked to praise everyone on the show irrespective of his opinion about them.
Singer Anuradha Paudwal, who recently arrived as a special guest, is surprised that the talent of contestants is being questioned, while she herself loved the show and the song of the contestants.
She said, “I found the contestants very talented and there was nothing controversial about it. If people are questioning their talent, I am surprised. I have no idea about the controversy around Amit ji but when I went, the kids sang really well. I was surprised watching their performance.”

Indian Idol season 1 winner Abhijeet Sawant also criticised the show for not concentrating on the talent of the singers. Abhijeet said, “Amit Kumar should have raised his concerns to the makers of the show rather than criticising the episode after it aired.”
The host of the show Singer Aditya Narayan also made fun of Amit Kumar by asking the special guests Anuradha Paudwal and Kumar Sanu their real opinion about the contestant’s performance.
Playback singer Anuradha Paudwal was awarded India’s fourth-highest civilian award Padma Shri by the Government of India. Recently, she was also in news for helping many people during the time of COVID-19 pandemic.
